Who is responsible

Riccardo Caneve, an independent developer based in Italy, operates WakeKick Dashboard and is responsible for its processing of personal data. Contact privacy@wakekick.com for privacy questions or requests.

Access and purpose

The dashboard is restricted to authorized WakeKick operators. It connects an account that the operator controls to retrieve available post information and engagement totals, compare content performance over time and inform WakeKick’s content planning. It is not a public social network or a service for collecting information about arbitrary TikTok users.

TikTok information we receive

When you authorize the connection, TikTok supplies an account identifier, the permissions granted, access and refresh tokens, and their expiration information. The integration requests basic account and video-list permissions. It does not request or store your TikTok password.

For posts returned by TikTok’s Display API, we store the post ID as part of its URL, account handle in that URL, title or description, publication time, available totals for views, likes, comments and shares, and the time each reading was taken. Operators can also enter post statistics manually, including saves. Unavailable statistics are left empty.

We collect aggregate engagement counts, not the identities of viewers, people who like a post, or individual commenters. The connector does not download post media, retrieve private messages, contact lists or comment text, or publish content. TikTok controls which posts and fields its API makes available.

Other dashboard information

The dashboard can also store Apple sales reports and, when separately configured, selected Mixpanel product events. Apple data includes report dates, product identifiers, units and proceeds by currency. Imported Mixpanel events contain event names, timestamps and hashed user identifiers; hashing makes identifiers pseudonymous, not anonymous. Connecting TikTok does not activate analytics collection in the iPhone app.

If you contact us, we process your email address, message and information needed to respond. Hosting and private-network services may process technical connection information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and secure access.

Why we process it

We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure internal dashboard and understanding the performance of WakeKick’s own content and product. We limit collection and access to information relevant to those purposes. Support information is used to answer requests and, where applicable, meet legal obligations.

TikTok authorization gives the dashboard permission to access the selected account through TikTok. You can withdraw that authorization at any time. We do not sell this information, use it for advertising audiences, or use it to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Storage, access and service providers

Imported records are stored in a database on the operator-controlled dashboard server. OAuth tokens are stored separately in a file restricted to the server’s operating-system account and are not sent to dashboard visitors. Access to the dashboard is restricted through Tailscale and encrypted HTTPS connections.

Authorized operators and providers needed to run these services may process relevant information. TikTok handles login, authorization and API requests; Tailscale provides private access; Netlify serves this public policy website; and our email provider handles support correspondence. Apple and Mixpanel are involved when their respective sources are used. TikTok records are not forwarded to Apple or Mixpanel by this connector.

External providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area, under their applicable terms and privacy arrangements. Contact us for information about the providers and transfer safeguards relevant to your data. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect the service and exercise legal rights.

Cookies

The dashboard uses a necessary, short-lived cookie to match a TikTok authorization response to the browser that started it. It expires after ten minutes and is cleared when the callback is handled. We do not add advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts to these public policy pages.

Retention and disconnecting

Credentials are retained to maintain an authorized connection. After a successful disconnect through the dashboard, we remove the stored token file. You can also revoke permission in TikTok; if that prevents the dashboard from completing disconnection, contact us to remove any remaining local credentials.

Disconnecting does not automatically erase previously imported records. Post statistics and other dashboard records are kept while needed for internal performance comparisons, until deleted by an operator or following an applicable deletion request. There is currently no automatic age-based deletion. We assess continued need when reviewing records or handling a request, and remove information that is no longer needed. Support records are kept for resolving the request and any related legal requirements.

If an operator has made a private backup, deletion also requires handling the relevant backup copies. We will explain any retention needed for legal obligations or claims when responding to a request.

Your choices and rights

You can stop future TikTok imports by disconnecting or revoking access. Contact privacy@wakekick.com to request access to or correction or deletion of personal data, restriction of processing, or portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the records.

You can complain to your local data protection authority, including the Italian authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali. The dashboard is intended for authorized adult operators and is not offered to children.

Updates and related terms

Changes to this policy will appear here with an updated effective date. Material changes will be brought to authorized operators’ attention before new processing begins. Read the WakeKick Dashboard Terms of Service for the conditions of use.
