Who provides WakeKick

WakeKick is provided by Riccardo Caneve, an independent developer based in Italy. Contact privacy@wakekick.com for privacy questions or requests.

Versions covered

Version 1.0 does not include usage analytics. Starting with version 1.0.1, WakeKick offers optional usage analytics, described below. No WakeKick account is required.

Information stored on your iPhone

Your alarm configurations, onboarding preferences and answers, challenge history and streak information remain stored locally. We do not upload the contents of these records. If you allow analytics, certain interactions and outcomes generate the separate events described below.

Optional usage analytics

WakeKick asks whether you want to allow analytics. Choosing “Continue without analytics” leaves all features available. Until you allow analytics, the Mixpanel SDK is not initialized. You can change your choice in Settings → Privacy & Analytics. Consent is the basis for this optional collection.

When enabled, WakeKick sends Mixpanel app interactions such as onboarding step views and completions, permission states, subscription-plan choices and purchase or restore outcomes, alarm-save outcomes, challenge type and completion, fallback or abandonment. Events include timestamps, a randomly generated installation identifier, basic device and operating-system information and app version/build information. This identifier is pseudonymous, not an account name, but permits events from the same installation to be associated.

These events help us understand the app’s user journey and identify problems. We do not send your free-text answers, signature, alarm names, scheduled times, camera content or body-pose measurements. We do not use advertising identifiers, advertising SDKs, session replay, or cross-company advertising tracking. IP-derived geolocation is disabled; network requests still necessarily expose an IP address to the receiving service.

Service provider

Mixpanel processes the analytics events for WakeKick using its EU ingestion endpoint. Its processing terms and safeguards are available at Mixpanel Data Processing Addendum. EU ingestion does not mean that every support or operational activity necessarily occurs only in the EU; the applicable processor terms govern processing and transfers.

Camera and permissions

Camera frames and Apple Vision body-pose measurements are processed on-device during camera-based challenges and are never saved or uploaded. Camera and alarm access can be revoked in iPhone Settings. If optional analytics are enabled, the event that a challenge was started, completed or abandoned may be sent; the underlying images and movement measurements are not.

Purchases

Apple processes subscriptions through the App Store. WakeKick uses StoreKit transaction and entitlement status to unlock premium access and does not receive payment-card details. With analytics enabled, selected plans and purchase/restore outcomes may be included in events.

Retention and deletion

Analytics events are retained for up to two years from the event date under Mixpanel’s standard event-retention policy, unless deleted earlier in response to a valid request. This period lets us compare usage across annual cycles. We do not create Mixpanel user profiles or record session replays.

Turning analytics off stops future collection; it does not automatically delete events already received by Mixpanel. To request access or deletion, email privacy@wakekick.com with the analytics reference shown in Settings → Privacy & Analytics so we can locate your events. The reference remains available after turning analytics off. Deleting local app data or uninstalling the app does not itself submit an analytics deletion request.

You can delete alarms, challenge history and onboarding data from WakeKick Settings. This does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage that through your Apple Account.

Your rights and support

You may withdraw consent at any time and request access, correction or deletion of personal data, and other rights available under applicable data-protection law. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority, including the Italian Garante. If you email support or privacy, the information you provide is used to respond to your request.

Changes

We update this policy when our data practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
